Providing affordable dentistry is just as important as offering safe and effective treatments. At Dream Dental, we do our utmost to provide every patient we see with quality dental services that fit their budgets. Processing dental insurance claims to maximize available benefits is one way that we’re able to offset the out of pocket cost of dental care. We are also in-network with many benefit providers, including Aetna Dental. If you have insurance benefits through Aetna or any of our other in-network providers, don’t hesitate to reach out to us to learn more. When you call to schedule your first appointment with the Aetna dentist in our Woodstock dental office, we’ll ask you to provide the necessary information, so we can help you take advantage of available dental insurance benefits from your very first visit.
Your Aetna dental insurance plan will vary based on the elections you make, and the specific coverage laid out in your policy. During your treatment planning visits, we’ll take the time to review all aspects of your dental care needs, including the cost. For most people with dental insurance through Aetna, preventive dental checkups and teeth cleanings receive 80 to 100% coverage. Minor restorative treatments like fillings receive 70 to 80% coverage, and for more advanced procedures like dental crowns or fixed bridges, patients usually receive 50 to 70% coverage.
Because we’re in-network providers with Aetna, patients only need to worry about paying the out of pocket percentage of the costs of dental care. When your insurance provider offers “70% coverage” for a service, those benefits are only allowable up to a specific price. We agree to set our fees within this price range for in-network insurers. Out of network dentists can charge fees that fall outside of this set maximum, but the patient is responsible for the difference in price as well as their out of pocket percentage of the treatment cost. Most dental care providers do their utmost to keep their costs within the average for their locations, so any additional fees are typically minimal. Visiting an in-network provider simply means you won’t need to worry about these added costs.
